Really lovely dog friendly place, exactly what you think of as an English country pub. And they put on a classic car show 1st Sunday of the month with really good BBQ. Vegetarian options: The salads bar for the BBQ was a masterclass in vegetarian cuisine. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Service was good, food was tasty. Lovely beer garden. Classic car and bike meets there regularly. Prices were a little high compared to town pubs but this is ok as important to keep trade up for these smaller country affairs. Parking: Lots of spaces. If on a motorcycle better to park near the pub or take a sidestand puck as bit gravel coated at the top Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Burger Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Free parking lot
This pub is dog-friendly and offers a lovely outdoor seating area for sunny days. The food is excellent, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Prices range from £10 to £20 per person. I rated the food, service, and atmosphere all 5 out of 5. I highly recommend the burger and chips. There is plenty of parking available, including a free parking lot.
We arrived around 4:30 PM and took a drink in the garden, which was lovely and peaceful. Shortly after, a friendly young waitress came out to see if we were ready to order. I chose the pork belly, while my partner opted for the lamb. We inquired about portion sizes since we planned to share some with our little one, who doesn’t eat much. The waitress assured us that the portions were definitely generous. We didn’t have to wait long for our food, and when it arrived, the portions were indeed quite large and looked fantastic. She even brought an extra plate for our baby. The food was hot and incredibly flavorful. We also took advantage of the two-course offer for £24, so we added a dessert to our meal. It was truly a delightful dining experience for all of us! The only minor criticism we had was that the Yorkshire pudding seemed a bit frozen and wasn't very crispy; however, that wasn’t a significant issue. The pub itself is beautiful, and the staff were attentive and friendly. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend it for Sunday Lunch. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
