Carnitas Uruapan - Chicago

I’ve loved this place since I was a little kid! The carnitas Uruapan are hands down the best in Chicago, and I highly recommend it. My family and I always come here and we make sure to get the fresh daily-made chicharrón. The best part is the takeout options they offer. Be sure to try the taco dorados—they're one of my favorites! You definitely don't want to miss out on this place!

The bonbons were delightful, and I suspect they incorporate some of the pork in their preparation—whatever the case, they were excellent. The restaurant offers a variety of tasty sides, including limes, onions, cilantro, carrots, red sauce, as well as desserts, and we also ordered guacamole. The taste of the carnitas was heavenly and juicy, making every taco a true delight. While prices have increased like everywhere else, the dining experience is consistently good, especially when they start their day with the carnitas from Uruapan.

The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is incredibly friendly!

Best carnitas I've ever had! based on this taste with the surtido and the fresh tortillas, the entire facility and sitting opportunity, cleanliness and total experience, a picture in the back with the chefs and their authentic michoacan vibes! it is beyond eating, it is a literal experience! will go back when I visit chicago

Love carnitas uruapan, but the service? ehhh the waiter smh are not friendly, they have not checked on us, not even, so I had to stand up to ask for serviettes. I also had to go to the tresor to ask for my bill and go for a container, I can go on, so we just say. bad service but big carnitas
