Restaurant bewertenSecond time visiting this cozy little place. At first I thought this was just a pastry and coffee shop, but they also have lunch to offer as well! Very cozy coffee vibes. You order at the desk when you're ready, you pick up your drinks from the bar, food will be brought to your table. I got the matcha latte and the portobello sandwich with a side of white bean soup in a savory tomato chunk broth. I enjoyed everything from latte to mushroom, but was most surprised at how well seasoned and tasty their soup is. Can't wait to return and try some of their pastries displayed next to the front desk.
Since I was in town for business, Artopolis ended up being the perfect place to setup and work for a few hours. I was excited they serve freddo espresso/cappuccino, since I'd never tried it and was curious to see how it compares to the frappé I make at home. I definitely prefer the espresso over the cappuccino, but I'd like to try a few more cups before I proclaim it superior to homemade frappé. Admittedly, I'm not much of a sweets person, and since I was planing on having a Hellenic feast for lunch/dinner, I resisted the pastries. Being mindful of my waistline is now a decision I sincerely regret, especially bypassing the bougatsa. The barista was quite friendly and recommended a Greek beer he claims is much better than Mythos and Fix, brewed by Volkan, which apparently utilizes mineral water filtered by lava rock found in Santorini. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can locate it in the future. Lastly, I appreciated all the grocery items you can purchase here if I lived in the area, I would absolutely visit just to resupply my Greek oregano, olive oil, and honey.
One of the best places in entire Chicago! Food is quite European and just tasty amazing and good quality. Coffee is probably the best in entire Chicago. Deserts are authentic and tasty! Goods sell inside are amazing! Atmosphere is so good : It’s my favorite place for weekends !
Artopolis Bakery is the best place to have a good bakery and desserts I strongly recommend it to everyone who wants a delicious bakery
Super impressed with espressos (I had the Freddo Espresso, my wife had the Freddo Cappuccino), food (I had a beef and lamb gyro, my wife had the Artos Caprese sandwich and a Greek Salad), and baking (we shared the berry cheesecake). All the portions were generous. Loved the decor and the staff were friendly. So worth the trip to Greektown!
