Restaurant bewertenWow! What a fantastic find! Exceptional food, excellent service, and lots of cool and tempting products. We got into town (just passing through on a road trip) with just enough time to stop in and get some dinner to go. Everything was so good that we're going to stop by again in the morning to get food to-go for lunch to enjoy on the next leg of our road trip. I had the Paul's Pulled Pork sandwich, which was excellent. The meat was tender and flavorful with plenty of smoke. The BBQ sauce was very good. Simple sandwich, but perfectly executed. For my sides I had New Potato Salad, which was very good, as well as the Brisket Pit Beans, which were shockingly flavorful and good. My wife had the Chef Salad, with fresh and delicious ingredients and an excellent Honey Dijon dressing. The place was busy, but the staff was on top of their game. The line moved very quickly, and even if we had to wait longer the food would have more than made up for that. I super highly recommend The Smokehouse Market, and look forward to enjoying them again for lunch tomorrow!
Winsome market complete with prepared foods, deli, meat/seafood counter, and a well edited selection of provisions (including wine/beer and ice cream from local purveyors Clementine's and Ted Drewe's custard). The store is on the smaller side but well planned. Get the deli ham salad and lemon salmon you won't regret it. A dessert case with selected pies by the slice fruit fillings and cheesecakes is conveniently located near the cash registers to satisfy any sweet cravings. A selection of nostalgia candies (think Reeds Rolls, Mallo Cups, and Clark Cups) rounds out the assortment. Lots of options to satisfy everyone's tastes!
I was finally able to visit the Smoke House market on Saturday July 1st. The quality of the meat, the friendliness of the staff, all were quite exceptional. My only issue was the small aisles, and with all the people inside walking around, I appeared to be bumping elbows and baskets with everyone. Which I really didn 't like.
Got the Claire's Choice sandwich (no tomato) some new potato salad, and a peanut butter cookie. Such a great deal at $9.99 for the sandwich, which was huge. It came on a baguette, but next time I would ask for it on sliced sourdough. It also came with a sliced pickle, which went with everything nicely. The potato salad was great and the cookie was huge and super chewy! The sides were extra, but good. Would come back to try one of the other sandwiches on their huge menu.
All kinds of foods and very excellent quality and prices are OK. Just down the street from my house in a good variety of everything cheeses meats etc.
