Restaurant bewertenGot the Claire's Choice sandwich (no tomato) some new potato salad, and a peanut butter cookie. Such a great deal at $9.99 for the sandwich, which was huge. It came on a baguette, but next time I would ask for it on sliced sourdough. It also came with a sliced pickle, which went with everything nicely. The potato salad was great and the cookie was huge and super chewy! The sides were extra, but good. Would come back to try one of the other sandwiches on their huge menu.
All kinds of foods and very excellent quality and prices are OK. Just down the street from my house in a good variety of everything cheeses meats etc.
When I found out I had to fly out to St. Louis MO, I was not thrilled. I've been traveling since Spring this year, more than I'd care to admit, and just overall, have been so exhausted. It's taken a toll on my mental and physical health, so food is really the only thing I have to look forward to. Well, Smokehouse Market, thank you for lifting my spirits with a toasty brioche bun filled with smeared avocado, roasted slices of turkey breast (and my goodness they did NOT taste like normal turkey breasts it was juicy, meaty, and fatty), pepper jack cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. The bun was sweet and right off the grill. There were 7 of us so it took a while to make and there's really not many places to wait inside the shop. It took a good half hour before we got our food but we were all thrilled with our meals. You get a cookie or chips depending on which sandwich you got. I'm wholesomely hoping we go back every day for lunch until our departure because there's THAT many options. I saw the salad options (took a picture for you curious and hungry folks) through the window and also saw a small sign encouraging requests for samples, so I wish I had some! There's plenty of seating in the back patio. It's also within the same building as Annie Gunn's which is obviously a popular local spot here. The sheer amount of crazy gourmet, specialty items here was INSANE hot sauces, rubs, pepper jellies, cocktail mixers, party cans, fresh seafood, cooked meatballs, and so much more!
My first time here after hearing great things. The server was great, very attentive without being annoying. The manager stopped to check in on our table twice. The food was very good and generous portions. The only thing I can criticize is some of the beans were mature and needed the strings removed (although I guess a great source of fiber). The fish did need a touch of salt. But all in all very good and we will be back.
Extremely friendly staff that know you by name, the best craft sandwiches and reasonable prices. Always a favorite to hang outside and enjoy lunch.
