Restaurant bewertenWhite Elm just down the road is much better if you have a family with you. his is probably better for the serious gardener,
Have just come back from a visit to BHN |Buckhatch Nursery and Garden Centre) my fist visit and really glad we decided to check this garden center out, larger than what I thought it would be, had so much to offer, prices were in line with the quality of the plants, well looked after noticed that staff were trimming, and deadheading, everything was labled, staff knowledgeable and friendly. loved the wooden garden furniture, THE CAFE, although very busy, staff had time for you, food was freshly made and plenty of it, very enjoyable well worth the wait probably just hot food as sandwiches where coming out quickly), staff came to our table and kept us informed never had that from anywhere before) which impressed us even more. Well done all of you, this is how a company should run.
I have visited this garden centre many times for shopping and food. The food is very nice but this is a busy garden centre so a little patience is appreciated. The staff work very hard and do their best to provide a professional and friendly service. Jane always greets customers with a warm smile and will do anything to ensure the customer enjoys their experience. The staff have to deal with the occasional rude customer which is very undeserved. Some people need to go get a hobby rather than leaving negative reviews and trying to upset people who are just working hard and doing their job.
Visited here today for lunch with my mum. We use the garden centre and thought today we would treat ourselves to a spot of lunch in the new restaurant area. The blackboards had lots of choice and we instantly went to our favourite sandwich filling, coronation chicken. I went to find a seat while my mum placed our order. Our sandwich arrived and instead of coronation chicken it was chicken mayo which we said wasn’t ours. She took it away and then the lady who had served my mum came over and instantly started blaming my mum for the confusion. She said a few times that my mum had ordered 2 chicken mayo sandwiches which my mum had not. The receipt also showed that this was not the case. The lady also made it clear that this was not actually something they offer and implied they had done us a favour by making this especially for us (even though it was not what we had ordered). The lady then walked back towards the kitchen half way through a conversation. I felt she had been very rude to my mum for no reason, she had made the mistake but was trying to blame my mum. The correct sandwich came and it was very tasty but unfortunately the experience was ruined by rudeness and the feeling that everyone was talking about us behind the counter.
What a great place. Every time we go there is something new. There are thousands of plants to choose from.
