Bistro La Traite - Châteauguay

We chose this place that seemed warm and located directly on the very site of the show we were going to see. despite the fact that the majority of customers had a reservation, a single waitress and a single chef on site to serve more than 30 customers!!! 20 minutes waiting for the aperitif and 45 other minutes waiting to finally manage our meal. misfortune the vast majority of the dishes displayed in the host table were not available. One hour later, only 2 of us were served. frustrated and stressed by time, in 10 minutes had to share the only 2 meals, run to pay, our show being in 5 minutes. Yeah, never again.

Went for lunch and a walk on Ile Saint-Bernard. I had never been to the Bistro so we tried it for lunch. The food was casual fare but fresh and well presented, service was friendly and unpretentious. They also have a nice selection of craft beer. All in all a nice experience for family and friends.

Second viste of this restaurant, the first one was better, but this one was painful. The location is good, on the edge of an orchard, the choice of beer is exellent, the terrace is covered with a roof that makes it comfortable. Service is polite, no more, but terribly long. We are placed on a table and we wait there for about 30 minutes without water and without taking the order. After these long minutes, we finalize the order and water a tiny glass of water with 1 ice per glass. He won't be filled with all the rest of the meal. After that, this intermed service, returning to the vegetation for more than 10 minutes to receive the drink, not the good and will only be corrected after the arrival of the main dishes 25 minutes later.More than an hour after our arrival, we receive our dishes. The presentation is well-kept, the salad and the vegetables seem fried, the potatoes are very beautiful, but not really cooked, molles inside and without real taste. The burgers are well-presented and well-stocked, but without a burst. strong artisanal sausages, have nothing craftsmen and not really strong, in truth she had no more taste than a grocery sausage. The mobilised terasse is of medium quality and becomes very uncomfortable after all this waiting. the menu for children has only two choices; mini burgers and pasta.

Excellent cuisine, great place, good service, it was my first visit I recommend this bistro!
