Restaurant bewertenI stopped by for lunch while in town on a business trip. This place was recommended to me by a friend, a recent transplant to the Queen City. I found the people working in the restaurant to be friendly, and there was a festive atmosphere as the restaurant was celebrating the anniversary (8 years? of being open. I ordered the shrimp with a generous side of lobster mac and cheese. It was delicious, expertly cooked and seasoned. The dining area is neither fancy nor large, but the food will have me returning again soon.
I had high hopes for Cuzzo’s Cuisine. They did it disappoint. The family got wings, waffles, fried fish (flounder), fried shrimp, fried tenders and sautéed shrimp. Everything was seasoned and required no salt or pepper, including the fries. The lobster Mac cheese is what Cuzzo’s is known for and it was a hit around the table. A photo of the smaller portioned kids meal is also seen here. It’s a decent size for children. The self-produced beverages were not bad either except they cost on average $3.50+. The Fruit punch was the star of the beverages for the family. It’s like your fave kool-aid meets your fave popsicle but careful as it’s loaded with sugar. Real smooth and gets your taste buds going otherwise. There are no traditional beverages that are not pre-bottled. Even the sweet tea is bottled. They have 8 sauces for the wings that you can toss the tenders in as well. Between two locations with limited seating and a food truck, if you are in Charlotte, try it. My whole family plans to return for round 2 soon. We actually visited the Tuskaseegee Cuzzo 1 and the line was steady out of the door. They close at 5 pm on Sundays but Cuzzo II remains open until 8. The other days are standard across the board. Cuzzo II has more seating near University of North Carolina but the wait time gets pretty long. Call ahead for pick up as there is no wait service. Everyone has to order the same way and retrieve their order from the pick up line. Sundays keep a steady line of customers by phone or walking up at all locations.
I ordered from Cuzzo’s Cuisine for lunch. The service was great; fast and friendly. We ordered sautéed shrimp and lobster Mac Cheese, Fish and fries. The Fish was amazing. The fries were seasoned perfectly. The lobster Mac and cheese was great. You can’t go wrong with this place!
