Restaurant bewertenHad vegan friendly laksa, 3 ingredients on (favourite fruits and veges), ccf and chwee kueh for approx. 10sgd ish. happy and satisfying meals at affordable prices. in comparison to pastness, they now have so many more items like steamboat, popiah, rojak, zi char. is also eaten there the chicken rice (large part and tasty). the crypt is clean and have a lot of fans around
Perhaps more fondly known as Kwan Inn Vegetarian Food (the store name has changed TLDR; get the hokkien mee and laksa came here with little expectations, and left so pleased! (only ever heard that they sell incredibly yummy laksa and that the lady boss is incredibly grumpy both of which are true we ordered: 1. laksa $3 my non-vegan parents were pleased it tastes like the usual laksa! generous portion for $3. comes with plenty of noodles, bean sprouts, and beancurd of 2 textures. only wish they had mock prawns or some extra ingredients of some sort! 2. hokkien mee $5 probably my favourite this has to be ordered from their second unit (on the right). this is the BEST vegan hokkien mee EVER. (Food In The Woods AMK is the 2nd best ive tried) not those watered down, weird-tasting, floury gravy. this is legit. worth the money for real 3. otah $1 per square in my opinion this is not otah HAHA kinda squishy, mala small-medium level spice, and doesnt quite taste like otah. served cold and its just 1 pathetic cold square. ate with with laksa and it wasnt too bad but personally i feel its not worth it. overall customer service is poor-fair but i mean... the food was excellent. and for this price? i dont really mind
Wow, we are so impressed with this place! For a (massive) plate of rice 4 options, we only paid SGD$4.50. So for two plates of rice 4 options each, it was only $9. Amazing!! There are so many choices to choose from too, and not very oily either. One of our options was the mock pork belly and my husband kept checking it out to make sure it wasn't real pork! The greens and the cabbage dishes are delicious, as was the Thai style tofu, and the fact that there are several choices of different rice is an added bonus. You can also get fried beehoon (rice vermicelli noodles) as an option instead of rice, or even as one of the choices of vegetables. Four thumbs up from us! The curry puffs are also delicious, with a crumbling pastry texture. Yum! We also tried their charsiew mee and laksa on the 9th August, and they were delicious and very filling. There's also a vegetarian popiah place there now, all connected to the same place, and that was great too. Very large roll for only $1.50. certainly the cheapest popiah we've had so far. This place is great. There’s a stall serving soups, another serving yong tau foo and other dishes made to order, and a third stall serving mixed vegetable rice. Dishes are either vegan or vegetarian ask and the staff can help.
Staff very helpful and nice. A lot to choose from. The fake meat options are good. 4 options of rice!!! Brown rice, chicken rice, coconut rice, white rice.
