Restaurant bewertenI?ve ate here a few times now and love it! I?ve enjoyed everything I?ve ordered! I will say that a lot of what I?ve ordered seems to have a bit of a kick?like red pepper flake flavors. Don?t always love spicy foods?but here it seems to work for me! I?ve failed to get photos each time as I?ve been with friends or family.
Great food. Great ambiance Captain crunch fish appetizer was unique and delicious.i would definitely wont miss it. Drink menu is elaborate. Loved the selection of wines. I am a big fan of mules and they had 15 different once. Had to go with pistachios which did not disappoint.
I had called ahead to make a reservation for my husband's birthday, but was informed that the restaurant only accepts reservations for parties of 20 or more. I was told that we could receive a complimentary dessert if we mentioned the special occasion to our server. Upon arriving at 6 p.m, we were told there would be a 30-minute wait, even though we were hoping to avoid this by making a reservation. When we were finally seated, our server took a while to return after giving us menus. I ordered crab cakes, which were the worst I have ever had, and only ate one. My husband's pork chop was decent but not outstanding. We did enjoy the duck fat fries, however. Despite informing our server that we wanted the brownie for the birthday dessert, it arrived before our plates were cleared. We had to make room for dessert by pushing our plates around the table. We had to ask a different server for a to-go box and for our plates to be cleared. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially considering we were unable to make a reservation and were hoping for a more special celebration (such as a surprise dessert and a more prompt seating). The food was underwhelming for the price, and our server's service was lacking. The only reason I would consider returning would be for the drinks (particularly the Witch Slap) and to commend the lady at the bar who served us.
The restaurant is absolutely amazing. The ambiance and staff are very welcoming, our server was exceptional! The duck fat fries were crunchy and tasty, the tenderloin was incredibly unique, and the praline pecan old fashioned cocktail was outstanding. I am looking forward to returning and trying out some other dishes!
This restaurant is a great find with a lot of interesting and quirky history. The food and drinks were excellent. Our server even noticed the gift bag we brought for my mom's birthday and brought out a special dessert. Overall, a very nice and enjoyable experience.
