Restaurant bewertenRestaurant Correct but a little expensive. Nice staff
Never disappointed. The kitchen is excellent. Good reception. Nice frame.
If you can handle the dusty woodsy decor and want casualer than casual, country meets beach bum, dark and dingy but ok food.
Cool atmosphere. Odd decor but had a good time with my lover! Enjoyed some interesting music at the open mic
Our history at this restaurant is decidedly inauspicious. First attempt to eat there in a party of eight, the booking was lost, restaurant was full, and we ended up dining alone in the cavernous ballroom - the food though was superb. Second attempt, there was a huge dog under the table in the dining room - a 'no no' for me - and we went elsewhere. Thus our third, highly successful visit, was particularly pleasing. Although set in the glitzy environment of a live casino with all the impedimenta that implies, the restaurant itself is simple and unpretentious with splendid views over the traditional sea front promenade, complete with scores of beach huts, and - during our visit - an atmospherically churning sea.The food, as before, was excellent, with a succinct menu dominated by fish dishes but also steaks. (My last entrecôte was the best I've ever eaten - anywhere). We had fish soup as starters, a meal in itself, followed by a skate wing, in a caper sauce supplemented by samphire (a local speciality) and saffron rice tamable. Huge helpings, all for nineteen euros each all-in excluding mineral water. Service is pleasant and efficient and the atmosphere calm and welcoming. We had no problems getting a table summer mid-week but booking is to be recommended for weekends.
