My Elderly MOM just Love's this Place! So that is What She Gets!
My meal was fair; I had the NEW White Cheddar Bacon Chicken Skillet. I’ve had better at my hometown Applebee's, and the same goes for the steak. The cheese sticks were also cold, resembling breaded string cheese straight from the fridge, with no hot melted cheese to be found. I found it odd how quickly they arrived. As for the host, I’m not sure why he works there. He seemed disinterested, displaying a lack of care in his demeanor and offering minimal customer service. He just told us to sit down, saying he would bring the menus with no guidance on where to go, so we ended up seating ourselves. I'm glad he wasn't our server. Now, our waiter was a genuinely nice person, but he never checked on us after our food arrived. We each got a soda with no refills. I had to chase him down to ask for boxes, which we ultimately didn’t need because my husband got sick later that night after eating. We didn’t even bother to complain about the steak; by then, we simply couldn’t get his attention for drink refills or to check in on us. The only redeeming part of our dinner was the pretzels with beer cheese, which were actually quite good.
I visited this restaurant for an early lunch and drinks with a friend. The drinks were enjoyable, and the service was excellent; our waitress was fantastic. However, later that day and throughout the weekend, I ended up with an upset stomach. Because of that experience, I don't think I'll be returning for food.
This is a fantastic restaurant with a warm, hometown atmosphere. We're currently in the area temporarily and stumbled upon this hidden gem. It immediately felt like home. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the food was excellent. We had a great time here and will definitely return. Thank you!
