Cv Steak - Carson City

I want to share my high praise for a wonderful dinner I had recently. My filet mignon was cooked exactly to my liking—what our waiter Francisco called "rare plus"—and it was perfect. I also ordered the gratin potatoes, which the restaurant is known for. I was a bit surprised to find only three sparing potatoes and a single red pepper on the plate, but it came with a delightful evening salad topped with a lovely house dressing. This restaurant is located in the Carson Valley Casino and has a very traditional ambiance. The waitstaff was excellent, and I highly recommend making a reservation as it’s a popular spot! I felt that my steak was on par with what I've had at Ruth's Chris, which gives me some credibility in sharing my opinion.

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant, and the service was outstanding! It's a perfect spot to celebrate a special occasion. I tried the special of the night, the smoked prime rib, and it was absolutely delicious!

We always make it a point to visit CV steakhouse every time we come to Nevada. There are several reasons we continue to come back to see the steak and that is because of the great team of employees, the atmosphere and the incredible food. However this visit part my wife's food was overcooked and the au gratin potatoes were undercooked. Our power server was very pleasant and friendly as well as attentive as well as the server's assistant Jace. This time we cannot give CV steak five stars.

Food and service were excellent. Seafood croquette was exalted.
