Restaurant bewertenBeautiful pub and gorgeous garden. The food was delicious. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our dinner here.
This was an overnight stop on our way to Scotland and we felt that it had been a good choice. The rooms were tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and well appointed. .We ate in the busy bar and chose one of the daily specials which was delicious. A mix of salmon, prawns and trout in a light source with a crunchy topping, served with crisp, light chips and fresh vegetables. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and with a reasonable choice.I would recommend this country pub.
Lovely pub and nice food served promptly and well cooked. Unfortunately the young lad and lass who were working barely cracked a smile between them and made a few mistakes too. They were also far too slow. I understand it's difficult to get good staff but surely some customer service training wouldn't be difficult? They let the place down.
Been here a few times whilst shopping in Carlisle we always call in the Lowther arms on the way home, it's a beautiful place to eat out, the food is as good as it gets as far as bar meals go and the ale is great too, the service is really efficient and it's very affordable too especially with the large plate full you always get, it's a little gem this place we love it and we most definitely will be visiting again in the non too distant future, great pub and great food we would highly recommend...
We visited for a meal, as we do regularly. Food as always was superb, never disappoints. Staff not so good, not very welcoming which is such a shame as it’s a lovely pub with great food.
