Restaurant bewertenFood was awful and over priced. Did not think it was possible to ruin a crepe in France but they managed it! Presentation unappetising....taste was dreadful. Also tried to charge for 2 coffees when only had one. No lock on toilet door which opened directly onto restaurant. Please avoid and spend your well earned money elsewhere.
We had lunch here on our first day in Carcassonne and really enjoyed it. The portions were large and freshly cooked. Definitely one to recommend.
When you get exhausted of having rambled the half of Carcassonne castle, you can't resist the Italian waiter on the street offering you tasty titbits of pizza napolitana with kind invitation to settle down at the outdoor tables of this pizzeria. No selectivity, no looking for something nicer, you take it even if you know it's not going to be your finest culinary restaurant experience. That's a good way to grab clients. The sunny corner is close to the Narbonne Gate and you can watch the torrent of tourists passing by while enjoying your pizza which is not at all disappointing. We were asking some snacks of bread for the fresh salad and, the staff was quick to pop over the facing boulangerie to bring us cranchy baguette. Grazie ...
A hot lunchtime in late September, feeling thirsty but not really hungry my wife and I sat down at Chez Napoli. We ordered a pichet of wine and scanned the menu, we'd thought to just have a simple crepe then spotted savoury galettes. Just what we needed! Two galettes and two crepes later we happily paid our bill which showed us what good value our lunch had been. This out of the way place deserves to succeed.
When you're surrounded by the competition, as every eating house in Carcassonne seems to be, you have to do something to stand out - and Chez Napoli won our custom by having somebody out on the street with a tray of pizza samples and a friendly chat about their excellence.Actually, we settled for their crepes, and thoroughly enjoyed them: just the thing for a dull but close morning, after touring the entire city before the hordes flooded in. Good value for money, and a lovely pleasant setting for people-watching.
