Restaurant bewertenThe Lord who helped me was very knowledgeable about the seafood I bought and able to buy me hints on this, and why. I thought the prices were fair and the selection was plentiful! We'll go back if we have time! Very recommended if you are on the fence.
Perfect place to buy local fish and shrimps. I loved sitting around and hanging the places. We made a few purchases here and looked forward to a wahoo table for dinner. We also enjoyed the conversation with the staff and their knowledge or the fish they sold. We also bought matching fish hook bracelets from a local artist. Stop, you won't be disappointed.
Guy(yes, this is his name) knows fresh seafood and if what you are after that, you have got to the right place. Guy was helpful as recommendations were needed to cook a meal of tile fish and middle neck shells for my family on vacation. Prices for seafood have definitely risen in recent years and it is reflected here, but that's how it is. The seafood here is restaurant quality and better if you know how to cook it properly. The only improvement I would suggest is to show better signs to the actual memory; is located next to Gator docking station. Support local Florida fishermen, so we can continue to taste and experience local Florida seafood. Someone gives this “Guy” a Rai$e!
Scored some fresh Tile Fish from this iconic spot. Stuck around a bit and Gene and the lady working gave us the low point how best to catch the SpaceX start. It is hard to be friendly people who sell excellent products. Thank you.
In town from Michigan. We eat a good bit of freshwater fish but believe it or not there’s not a ton of saltwater in Michigan. Looked up this place and saw the great reviews. As I pulled up I noticed a lady and man speaking outside. The air fresh and salty air foreshadowed what was to come. The man noticed me, and left so that the lady could come in and help me out. Turns out he was a fisherman back from a long day at sea. As I entered the store I noticed a clean fish smell, nothing rotten. I perused the fish and everything looked clean, had clear eyes, and didn’t look overly oily or as if it had been sitting a long time(because it hadn’t . I asked the lady (who’s name I wish I remembered sorry! what she had local and she said everything was local except a few select items. I asked what could handle the sweet and spicy heat of blackening spices and she quickly replied Cobia. What is Cobia you ask? It’s a fish. I mean common… context people. So I ordered 1.5 lbs of it took it home and blackened it. The price is what I expect for fresh caught and local. You aren’t buying some communist caught and shipped fish here. Nope. Your going to pay and yet the price is fair. Phenomenal, fresh, clean, salty, sweet. It describes the fish and my experience here. I’m on day 1 of a 9 day vacation. I got a feeling I’ll be back! Oh did I mention they ship anywhere in the continental US?
