Restaurant bewertenI visited the Casino of Capbreton on the occasion of a scientific conference, and I must say that the food and service were top-notch. Though I am no sure how good it would be when visiting as a regular customer.
Looking for a restaurant out of season that would serve a menu enfants for my food-awkward son led us here. He loved his meal, so great for children but I was left half satisfied. Which is unfair as the garçon was extremely professional, the menu was limited but well cooked and presented (I had chipirons to start and magret de canard for main, my wife had the plat du jour which was also good). But a brasserie combined with a casino is weird, and therefor very, very French! It's OK, I wouldn't talk you out of it, the location is A1, but I reckon you can get better food nearby.
Went here with my family but all considered we were somewhat disappointed. We ordered 6 meals: 2 arrived after 20 mins the other 4 after approx. 75 minutes. Out of the 4 dishes which arrived late, 3 of them were entrecotes of very poor quality: a lot of fat and very little meat. The balance should have been the other way around. A good chef should have noticed the poor quality in my opinion. My sole by the way was good I must say. I complained on the 3 entrecote dishes but they only deducted 1 off the bill as it was already late I refused to have new steakes which they offered as my children started falling asleep after the long waiting time too. The owner only suggested me to come back and have 2 steakes for free... She probably guesses I will not and she is right poor thinking in my opinion; I am glad I don't have such a short term and outdated mindset. I'd rather go back to the other restaurants nearby the ocean in Capbreton which I found much better.
