Greggs Sturry Road - Canterbury

I was extremely satisfied with the service I received at Greggs yesterday. My husband is a big fan of their ploughman sandwiches, but when I discovered they were all sold out, the staff kindly offered to make me two of them. The service was very friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed a delicious sausage roll while waiting for the sandwiches to be made. Thank you so much!

Both looking forward to hot sausage roll, cup of tea and cream cake. Seating area was blocked off also a sign saying toilets closed. Asked the counter assistant why, he said they had not bothered to open then since March. Turned round and walked out no wonder all the shelves were full and this being a lunchtime.

What a joke... I’m speechless. Popped in on my lunch break, expecting a nice golden brown juicy sausage bean and cheese melt to be waiting for me... “Sorry we haven’t got any” So I turn round and left what a joke... That’s like going to Burger King and not being able to buy a burger! Absolutely flabagasted!

Good sausage rolls generally they are still warm and fairly cheap and the bacon rolls are tasty,staff are always cheerful and obliging.

I purchased toasties that needed to be heated up, but I was alarmed to see that the staff used their bare hands to take the toasties out of the bag to heat them up, and then again to put them back into their packaging. It appears that the staff have not been properly trained in health and safety protocols. I was not comfortable buying and consuming food that had been touched by bare hands. The same issue occurred with the cinnamon cake. I will not be returning to this restaurant. I recommend training your staff to use utensils like tongs or pincers.
