Restaurant bewertenAbsolutely nothing wrong with this place. It's super fancy, delicious, and very French. It's just not my style is all. We loved what we got and my wife approves the coffee (and she's hard to please when it comes to coffee! . Took off a start because $15 for a coffee and 2 pastries which didn't begin to fill me up seemed a little high. But so glad we went.
After experiencing stale donuts and bitter coffee at the nearby Tim Horton's, we were thrilled to find Le Fournil during our visit to the Canmore area. We indulged in both the pastries (almond croissant, mixed berry pastry, and savory pesto/tomato pastry) as well as the most beautifully crafted desserts. We've been to France twice, and can't believe we were able to experience something equally as good during our Canadian travels.
Delicious! We ordered four croissants and 2 desserts. Our favourite is the white one, it was light and delicate. The filling was mango and it paired absolutely perfectly. The croissants reminded us of Paris. We will definitely be coming back again.
The baked goods are of the highest quality. Breads, baguettes, sour dough, croissants, and delightful pastries are ready for opening at 8. There is a bit of a line because it is first come first serve. I went at 8 so I don't know how long all the items stay in stock. I loved it because it reminded me of the Bäckereien in Germany
This place is a treat it felt a bit like being in a Parisian bakery. The espresso drinks are excellent and the baked goods we tried also outstanding. There were also many fancy higher end desserts that we did not try but enjoyed looking at.
