Restaurant bewertenWow. This place was spectacular and we are picky foodie types. We were a party of six and were seated at a great dining room style table. The bar area is lovely (although we didn't sit there) with two-sided fireplace. We had great service--attentive without being cloying. They had a kids menu which pleased the 8 year old. The salmon was delicious--the lemon creme fraiche was subtle and delicious, and the grilled artichokes and crisp green beans were the perfect complement. My husband got the NY Strip medium rare, and it was perfectly cooked. The crab cakes were great, and the special short ribs fell off the bone. I was surprised that the place was so empty. I'm not sure what happened with the one star reviews but don't be put off. This place is elegant, good for groups with private booths and larger tables, but also suitable for date nights. We had an excellent meal with excellent service. Canfield is lucky to have such a place.
This place is definitely underrated! Everyone's meal was delicious. And service was outstanding. The manager even stopped by to make sure we were enjoying our brunch! Must try: Portabella Eggs Benedict Caprice omelette Burrito omelette Oscar Eggs Benedict
And incredibly well kept secret would Whitefire Grille and Spirits and their incredible brunch! Four of us met and I had never been a guest there before. I ordered the smoked portobello mushroom eggs benedict and was delightfully surprised. Not only was it delicious, it looked like a piece of art on the plate. The server was friendly, helpful and upbeat. Overall such a wonderful experience. We did not take advantage of the create your own ****** Mary nor did we indulge in the mimosas, but we did enjoy a miniature, complimentary cup of hot cocoa. I will certainly come back for dinner. And you can count on me once again in the near future for a magnificent brunch!
Great food, fun casual atmosphere, menu is $20-$30 per plate with a burger for $12 and a whopping 32 ounce half a cow ass for $60 some ish. Can't vouch for it because I've never had the urge to eat my weight in bovine but I'm sure it's really good. Other than that good date night place (splurge on a sitter leave the rug rats at home because there is no kiddo menu), good upscale Restraunt off of the typical chain link. Work or play I recommend.
Went for a dinner with a work group who are staying in town for the week. There were 8 of us total. Service was so so slow, although it was the waitresses second night so we gave her the benefit of the doubt but we waited at least 20 mins for drinks. When the drinks did arrive they were all completely wrong. Incorrect beers, incorrect quantities of the beers too. We ordered apps which again took a long time to come out we were the only table in there! Can 't understand what took so long. Apps were okay, one didn 't arrive with the aioli so had to ask for that. The waitress didn 't know what sauces they had for salad and didn 't find out, we pretty much have everything doesn 't really give us much options to pick from. When ordering dinner we weren 't asked how we 'd like our steaks cooked, rookie faux par but I 'm sure the waitress has been to a restaurant before so should know the deal... After another wait dinner arrived. Between us there were 3 steaks all SOOOO undercooked. A burger it was cooked okay. Cod which didn 't taste like anything. Pasta was meant to be served with a fried egg but showed up with a devilled egg. You see the pattern here... food just wasn 't up to par or anywhere near the prices they put up. It took another 20 mins just to get the checks, once we gave our payment it took ANOTHER 20 mins to get the slips. VERY disappointed. Will not be returning.
