Izumi - Canberra

Izumi offers a great range of Korean and Japanese dishes. The cafe is often busy at lunch time and it is easy to understand why. Friendly fast and efficient service are Izumi's hallmarks. The food is very good, and the serving sizes are generous. This is a great place for a casual meal at affordable prices. Will be back.

After bemoaning the lack of "cheap and cheerful" Japanese or Asian Street food type places in Canberra we saw this place and decided to give it a go. Exactly as advertised - cheap, fresh, quick, hearty Japanese and Korean. Really friendly and helpful staff. Three mains = $35. I'll be back.

This has become a regular for us. There are approximately 20 meals to choose from priced from $10-18. They are great value, authentic and beautifully cooked. Izumi provides great value for money and is proving very popular. The staff are very friendly and provide cheerful service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This place is a local favorite and generally pretty busy, but the food is a bit underwhelming.

Edit - after returning here a second time, my friends and I found all four of our ramen orders to be lacking that special something.
