Restaurant bewertenDined in a December evening. the room gives directly to the sea. rather elegant location. menu quite sought after but varied and with the right portions (neither scarce nor too abundant.) mainly includes fish dishes but there is no choice for vegetarians and for those who prefer meat. Very good herb ravioli, exquisite pork fillet served with a cream of apples and saffron. Great service. the maitre in particular is very professional but not for this serious. a little high prices, but for the quality of the menu and the service there is. Very recommended.
My daughter and I live nearby in Rapallo, and for us it is a special treat to have either lunch or dinner at this wonderful restaurant. We have been there times in the last months, and each time has been terrific! You can have lunch outside overlooking the sea, and their lunch menu has numerous options that showcase the high quality of the chef. Their pasta with clams is wonderful and reflects the professional approach to Italian food here. For us, at lunch time, this is a reasonably priced and beautiful restaurant (The Bar) compared to some of the other more standard lunch options in Camogli. We also enjoyed lunch in their beautiful restaurant on the veranda. This was definitely worth the slightly higher priced menu, down to the finger bowl after eating seafood and pasta. The Maitre' D was polite, professional and described all of the dishes that we were interested in having. Truly a special location, upscale and reflective of the best of Italian and Ligurian cuisine. This hotel is also exquisite and relaxing this is one of the best hotels and restaurants in the Portofino area. Thank you for running such a wonderful restaurant and hotel. Thanks to Covid, it has been exactly three years since we have been in this charming hotel and very pleasing restaurant. One can't eat the spellbinding view, but the kitchen doesn't rest on its partially captive audience. After a morning train ride from Alassio, and the prospect that we migt not have dinner due to a concert schedule, we were ready for a serious lunch. The hotel delivered with a wide selection of appetizers, first and main courses and attractive desserts. We remember when professional service was quite common in restaurants. Now, it is a riarity. So having an experienced and pleasant waiter who made tactful and helpful suggestions was quite agreeable. Other than in France, hotel dining rooms are usually a tier below stand alone ones. This one mostly delivers the type of meals that you seek out. Plus, they have the best view in the city.
We often find that restaurants within hotels can be disappointing. Not this one. After checking around and tasting their cuisine, we decided that the greatest daily pleasure whilst staying at the hotel Hotel Cenobio dei Dogi, was to enjoy their hospitable and good restaurent. The manager Lucca and his friendly well trained team made our day! Smiles all around, incredible thoughtfulness, and very personal interactions- makes us feel so very welcome and at home. The dishes and wine were all good and delicious. We were made well acquainted with Ligurian cuisine after a few days. Very appreciative for such hospitality and reception from the heart -when we were weary travellers and rather homesick.
