Restaurant bewertenI had a great dinner here. beautiful outdoor dining in the main street of a pretty little upstate village. I had the chicken cheese Chimichanga special with a frozen blue iguana and my friend had a beer and burrito. we both loved it and went away. I even had left to take home, that was my dinner in the next night and the total bill was less than $50. good the trip!
Adequate amounts of food, and a good server, but the food served was bland.
Before my visit, I checked the restaurant's website, which claims to serve authentic New Mexican cuisine, stating that “if you’re not in New Mexico, you’ll feel like you are after trying our food!” Unfortunately, this claim couldn’t be further from the truth. The chips and salsa tasted pre-packaged; the salsa was clearly store-bought. My burrito was supposed to contain pork marinated in lemon and garlic. While there was a hint of tanginess, it lacked any discernible garlic flavor. The guacamole was watery, and the cheese was rubbery and pre-shredded. Overall, the flavors were quite bland, especially considering the price. The flan was decent, but even the water was better than most of the food.
Delicious food and excellent service! Insta: bethy_the_vt_hiker
The food and atmosphere are fantastic! I will definitely be back! P.S. La Placita Cantina just received its liquor license and will soon be offering drinks!
