Restaurant bewertenThis fine establishment for the first time visited in a dae and was just as good as the last time I left, had the hot sesame beef and halloumi salat to begin, which is always a victorious and the woman had the tempura garnels with sweet chili sauce, which the waitress was happy to swallow on the Wasabi Chomo. mains I went on the mix grill and all the meats were boiled for perfection and I had the kartoffelgratin, the beautiful and garlicky and the koleslaw, the best I had, went to the sirloin, which was huge boiled as they were medium and as I had the gratin and koleslaw, through this time we were pretty crowded, but waited a bit and then we both went on the workers were very well asked about the food and drink they had and were very attentive, without being overlaid, very rare in these days, as most places just want to turn the tables over the ashes.
Ende oktober visited in a group of good starters, including some beautiful whitebait. pleasant, friendly waitress. then the great disappointment coq au vin became a very uninteresting, bland chicken casrole, full of carrots. sauce taste and look it probably hit from stock cubes and maisflour obviously no red wine, no mushrooms or swirl. this restaurant may give the impression of serving French food, but clearly does not know what coq au vin is! would not return.
Visited la maison du steak with adult and children eating was good service was ok best spent on eating plus a manditory service fee of whitch I did not ask to pay, but was said I did not have any choice because the manager was not on this day it unpopular mine, but it is not our culture in Britain to pay service fees so that it lets down the cleaning
Visited this fine establishment for the first time in a while and was just as good as the last time I went, had the hot sesame beef and halloumi salad to start which is always a winner and the wife had the tempura prawns with sweet...chilli sauce which the waitress was happy to swap for the wasabi mayo. Mains I went for the mix grill and all the meats were cooked to perfection and I had the potato gratin which were lovely and garlicky and the coleslaw which was the best I’ve had, wife went for the sirloin which was huge cooked just how she likes it medium and like me had the gratin and coleslaw,by this time we were pretty stuffed but waited a bit and then we both went for the crème brûlée which were divine Washed down with a bottle of Prosecco and a couple of craft beers we left very much satisfied and will be visiting again very soon and have recommended my works have there xmas lunch there. The staff were very knowledgeable about any questions you had about the food and drinks and were very attentive without being overbearing, very rare these days as most places just wanna turn the tables over asap.
This review is not about the food but about their policy. We booked a table online for Saturday evening. We arrived nearly minutes late (our fault) but they kindly were ready to accommodate us anyway. However they told us that as we were late...we needed to vacate the table in hr and mins and they added that booking on line for people you get the table for hr but because we were late it was hrs. We decided to leave. I feel hours policy is already bad, but hrs??? That's ridiculously bad! Our intention was to order a course meal and a bottle of wine but how can we do that when the time is ticking so fast? How can people enjoy their time when they feel rushed and treated like in a fast-food? I'm not gonna support places with this policy so we won't be going back until they change it.
