Restaurant bewertenAfter a really good dinner experience in spring, I returned with friends for dinner on July 31. The place was fairly empty, yet service was incredibly slow. They were out of the first three beers I tried to order. The food took forever to arrive and was barely warm when it did. The brisket was dry and the fries, undercooked. Perhaps just a bad night, but I'm leery about going back.
Although the menu is standard pub fare the quality is much better than it's competitor's in the Marda Loop/Altadore communities. Staff is always friendly. If you like live music Friday and Saturdays it is the place to be. But be ready to be well acquainted with those around you as it is a small venue. And a casual dinner on the patio can always be had in our warmer days here in Calgary.
The food was well presented, as were the drinks. Service was excellent. Good selection of choices. Lots of variety of accomodations.
First time at the trop I was very pleased with the drinks and food. We actually attended a video clip that they were going to make of the band that was playing for Canada's 150. Would definitely return.
On the weekends we go to the Trop for dancing. It is so much fun. Fabulous bands. Great food awesome staff
