Hudsons Canadian Tap House - Calgary

First time visit was a great experience. On a 5 day visit to Calgary we returned 4 times for either lunch, dinner or just drinks. The staff are friendly and the food was great. Will definitely be back on my next visit. 5 stars all around.

I've eaten here a few times and have never been blown away. Very typical bar food, the deep fried pickles are probably the best option out there! However, the night life on weekends is worth going. Casual, loud, dancing and good music. Nora's wild and crazy as some clubs but you get the same feel with also the chance to sit down. Great drink specials!

We have gone to Hudsons for Lunch for years. It is a few blocks out of the downtown. The service is fine. The menu is good and for lunch it is a good space to meet and chat. Unfortunately they have changed their menu a bit recently and really made the portions small. 4 of us had the beef dip. Always good in the past and still good but the two small portions look more like appetizer sliders. As a courtesy we did speak to the manager and he explained to us that this is the new size, end of story. He did offer us all a dessert which we all declined, since this was lunch. This location isn't busy anymore and they just lost 4 more regular customers. We tried to give some constructive critism. One party at our table said for the price she felt it should be 2 inches more. Our bill for the 4 of us was $90.00 plus a $10 tip. Not cheap considering 2 of us had pop and the other two water. We use to go about once every month to month and half and sometimes taken as many as 9 people. That won't happen anymore... I'm seriously disappointed... seems to me in this economic enviroment you want to keep your game the same or up your game -regulars...keep you going through the hardtimes... ????

Seriously ! Great food, great staff and always a beautiful crowd. Come down for the Hockey Game and get cheap pints and wings. Weekends are always a party. Essentially my living room !

Prior to moving downtown a year ago, I frequented Hudson's every now and then. Yet, with every time that I went, I was also greeted at the door and seated immediately. The servers were always friendly and welcoming - never once did I feel rushed. The food was always consistent and I never had a bad experience. Now living downtown, I head to Hudson's all the time whether it is for lunch, dinner, dancing, beers, work parties or just to hang out. The staff at this location take the time to get to know you and will always do what they can to make your experience enjoyable. I have had a great experience with every server (Yasmin, Marlene, Dani to name a few of the great team) as well as management. Thank you guys for truly rocking the neighbourhood pub feel - you will continue to gain my business as well as others I bring along.FYI - This place transforms into a nightclub Friday and Saturday nights which also includes incentives - heads up for party-goers!Cheers!
