Restaurant bewertenGreat staff. Delicious food. Open late. We enjoyed our dining experience<br/
Better pizza than your average chain, but nothing exceptional. The restaurant is welcoming but the decor still has the feeling of being overly planned, as with all chains) and service was friendly. My friends ordered the Capricciosa $16.50) and the Siciliana $16.50) while I opted for the Sofia Loren sandwich $14.35) with the Napoli salad as a side. Given that the restaurant was not very busy, it took an absurdly long time for our food to arrive. I have to say I enjoyed my sandwich more than I was expecting: the vegetables were nicely roasted and the pesto was flavourful, but the whole thing was far, far too oily. The pizza I tried was not overly impressive: everything tasted fresh, but parts of the crust were a bit too charred, and the whole pie was just a bit underwhelming. Considering the price, you can get far better at other pizzerias in Calgary.
We sat down with 4 adults and two children. Ordered 3 pizza's to share with everyone. They were delicious. Will be back there for sure. I love those thin crusts. Just like the pizza's in Europe.
The pizza is everything dreams are made of! Traditional Napoli pizza. Make sure you try the dessert too. The staff are friendly which always adds to a great restaurant experience. They are always smiling. They even have a dinner and a movie deal for a...More
First time trying Famoso after hearing some people raving about it. Was very disappointed with the food. Service was fine, lively atmosphere, food came out fast, but the pizza (their specialty) was soggy and undercooked. The toppings didn't even stay on the pizza because is was so soggy. Honestly, I much preferred the pizza at via cibo down the street. On top of all that, the washrooms were atrocious. No toilet paper, lock on the door didn't work and the tap was wobbly? Not to mention it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Won't be coming here again. Would advise to avoid!
