Restaurant bewertenOne of the best restaurants I've been to. Food was actually phenomenal. Service and ambience fantastic as well. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$80–90 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Raviolo, Tiramisu, Nduja Spread, Whipped Ricotta
Ordered the bread and meatballs to start. The bread was amazing, fresh and warm. The meatballs were okay but nothing special. For the main course we ordered the ravioli and the pesto pasta. Both were amazing, with lots of pasta and amazing sauce. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner
I visited DOP for the first time on Sun night, my experience was so so. The best thing was service, my server was attentive and helpful. She watched our pace, expedite next dish as we finish eating the dish before. She came to change plates and cutlery for each dishes. Service was nice and friendly! What I felt disappointing was food and pricing. I got whipped ricotta(it was delicious! and it was for $10. But it does not come with anything to eat with, so we need to add bread basket, which was another $10 for 1 focaccia cut into 4 pieces. So ricotta with bread was $20. In my opinion, it is a bit too much for light appetizer. We tried their signature raviolo, which is a giant ravioli stuffed with ricotta and runny egg. It was quite disappointing I must say, the center part was good but the outer edge of ravioli was way too thick and hard. The texture was not good at all. I believe they make it thicker so that it holds up the shape when they cook, but the texture was just unpleasant. We also had their veal. It was large veal cutlet with tomato sauce and cheese on top. It was not bad, but I would have loved more sauce, it was a bit dry. And it was more than $60. We ordered it only because that veal or another veal with Lemmon butter sauce were the only meat entrees they had. butI would not order again. It was just ok. Their meatball was good but again, not enough sauce for my liking. Another thing was, I knew they had tiramisu from Google map review, but they did not offer dessert menu after meal. At that point I did not care to ask for dessert menu. Overall, food was just ok. For the price they charge, I was a bit disappointed. There are a lot more Italian restaurants in the area, i would not recommend unless you wanna try highly rated restaurant.
I have been here twice , and both times I had very different experience . First time when they were new , and everything was amazing , food , service and atmosphere .... second time, blah ... i wasnt happy we came here and I know of wished we went somewhere elese ... food is ok , but nothing as good as it was . Still not leaving bad review as we all are allowed to have bad day . Food: 4
