Shangri-La Palace - Calgary

it has just been found that the Shangri-La palace is now closed and will soon be opened a new restaurant. disappointment, as we liked her midday buffet. even my colleagues liked it.

After seeing all the views regarding the reopening of a restaurant in the lower level of the Chinese cultural center with dimm sum, I decided to review it. Unfortunately, the dimming sum is kept in a steam table and thus the quality and temperature is influenced. it is a very limited offer of dim-sum items offered by western style Chinese food, Malaysian foods and some Indian food offers. sometimes too much to try too much and this is the case here. if I go for dimming, that is the focus I want the restaurant, so it would have been nice to have had only a dim sum focus. as well as experience dictates that vaportic does not do the delicate dim sum products any advantages, and this is the case here. oh good back to the old standards.

the first time here. for lunch. eating was hot and fresh as it had just opened. good variety of Chinese and East Indians. Malaysian only in the evening. he had a Malaysian nude article. service was fantastic and so friendly. our server gave me tips on Chinese tees. she wrote in Chinese a tee to help them sleep. they serve jasmine tee. they want to eat there as other items.

the restaurant is located in the lower level of the Chinese cultural center. the place is beautifully decorated. the buffet has eastinder kitchen to die, and in the evening buffet they have Malaysian huhn Satay skewers that they do not stop, again for more. eating is well prepared and for dinner is only $19.99 per person. a must try if they love Asian eating and they are in the city.

My family and I were in Calgary to visit some relatives, and uncle brought us here to try their food. My uncle and aunt knew the hostess so she was able help pick out some great dishes. It was quiet when we arrived but as...the buffet started, more and more people trickled in. We had a crab lobster on crispy noodles dish which was delicious. The other dishes, steamed chicken, beef hot pot, etc were equally delicious. The server was very attentive and very approachable. She made the experience very enjoyable with her humor and positive attitude. The only complaint is that since recently changed management, they are still ironing out some details and some training needed.
