Excellent service and quality. friendly and friendly, great prices and good value.
We called in for breakfast, as it looked like a really nice place with beautiful surroundings. We were so disappointed and I wish I’d checked the reviews here first. I had ordered eggs benedict and the yolks were rock hard, bacon was bone dry (like it had been sat there for hours and hours! and rather than English muffins, it came on a piece of sourdough toast, half of which was burnt and half of which was untoasted. Assuming the bread could only fit half way in the toaster! Service wasn’t great either. After we had paid and were leaving, only then were we asked if everything had been ok, to which I explained it was disappointing. We were advised they’d “let chef know”.
Second visit but no comparison to the first which was great. My companion had pork pie with chips and peas, well presented but the pie had been in the microwave which made it soggy and chewy. I had fish pie and vegetables. Couldn’t make out the veg on the broccoli, they were totally overcooked carrots swimming in oil and totally inedible. The fish pie was tasty but watery, Disappointed and won’t be returning any time soon
I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a place to have lunch. The food was excellent and well priced. The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was delightful with plenty of natural light. I will definitely be returning for another visit.
