Restaurant bewertenThis is one of my favorite places to go around where I live to get something to eat please open up the valatie new york Subway again you have no competition when it comes to the subs around here besides Stewart's and I would rather go with a Subway sub any day all day then the Stewart's lol
I also am confused by the negative reviews here. I've been in the store many times with no issues what so ever. I found the staff to be helpful and friendly. With regards to the Wood Pellet side of the business.... which is what I'm much more familiar with......You simply can not have a more pleasant buying experience then to purchase your pellets from Justin Slater. To my loss, I only discovered Slaters Pellets about Five years ago. Since then I've been able to look forward each winter to a huge selection of Pellets as well as one of the smoothest buying experiences I believe a consumer can have. Today (Monday) I received some pellets I ordered late Saturday afternoon and at the time I picked. He showed up with a smile on his face ....was totally respectful to my wife and myself as well as my home while he stacked a ton of Pellets inside for us and the balance out in our garage. He left my home as well as my garage just exactly as he found it and took any garbage he created with him as he left. All he left behind was some skid loader tracks in the driveway and two very happy customers. For years we stressed over getting our Pellets from Lowes....or Home Depot........who would often put a limit on how much you can buy at one time or just be sold out with no idea when more would be delivered.......That completely sucked! This fine gentleman deserves your business.....I strongly suggest you make your annual pellet purchase from Slaters Pellets.
This place is awful. The guy who runs is smug and indifferent because his daddy who owned the equally dismal and now defunct Slater's supermarket next door, bought him this place as a present. Yay. It's plain to see that the rotten apple in this case hasn't fallen far from the tree since the kid hasn't got any more business sense or customer service savvy than his old man had. There are 3 businesses inside; a donut shop, a Subway Sandwich counter, and Slater's own mini spinoff of his fathers filthy market complete with stale, outdated food. On any given day, you can stand there and wait to be served. And wait. And wait. Then, when one of the lazy little snot nosed brats manning the stations finally decides to begrudgingly wait on you, be prepared for attitude! The young women there are especially rude and nasty. I'm curious to know what the relationship is between the owner and these nasty young girls if they feel they can so brazenly treat customers like crap and not suffer any repercussions. Hmm. Makes a person wonder. Regardless, the service here is lousy, the food is questionably fresh, the tables are a filthy mess, and to top things off, they unscrupulously get their gasoline from Venezuela regardless that there has been a long simmering issue between them and the US. Profit apparently comes before patriotism to some.
Three businesses in one, and the help seems to think It 's not my job . Waited at Subway, because employees were in the back, because they had no customer. (I could hear them talking about life outside of work). Maybe they had no customers because they were in back. The employee at Dunkin Donuts, was leaning and texting. Maybe he could have texted the staff at subway for me, so I wouldn 't have had to wait 5 minutes. I wanted bottled soda, but couldn 't buy it at Subway, had to go to the convenience store counter. Neither the Convenience store staff (who were the busiest), the Subway staff (who had time to hang out in the back room), or the texting Dunkin employee, took it upon themselves to clean any tables or the floors. I took our food out to the car to eat, so I could have a clean spot to eat at, MY LAP! The only reason I 'll go back is because it is cheap and there are not other options. The owners should consider one manager to oversee all employees onsite.
I cant understand all the negative reviews below. Seems these people are personally disgruntled for some reason because going to slaters has always been a great experience for me. I buy my wood pellets from slaters we stop in for his many flavors of soft serve ice cream and nostalgic candys from back in the day. The place is always clean and staff is always friendly to me. Ive personally delt with justin and his father and they are some of the nicest people ive ever delt with who gone out of there way multiple times for me insuring I get my wood pellet order at a convient time. If your a wood pellet burner you need to buy from justin he has a wood pellet facility thats amazing everything stored inside at all times. Thanks for your kindness justin Chris
