Restaurant bewertenThe ambiance and view from this restaurant is top notch! Service was great and the lobster dinner and scallop appetizers were delicious.
Food was good and staff was very friendly but a bit slow. Service could have been faster. Drinks were good too.
Seats that were presented to us on the pitch by the concierge to buy the event at $65/person was explained as a beautiful setting, BBQ buffet style dinner, music and entertainment as long as you had reservations. We had decided to give it a try and made reservations being told we would be paying the night of the event. Upon arrival, were offered a table in the main travel area for the various food tables as well as in front of the band. As the hostess brought us to the initial table, I immediately inquired into an different table set up for two quests in the corner, out of traffic, the bands and food lines, speakers and the fire displays scattered around the floor. The hostess went to check and while doing so was approached by a table of 4 that inquired into the same table originally set up for 2. Long story short, the manager cameover to my table and told methey had inquired first which was lie because we were there before they came down to the area and had the conversation with the hostess. Then he preceded to ask me when I made my reservations which was Sat with the concierge and at which point have had very few names in the list. Then he asked when we paid and I explained we were told by the HOTEL CONCIERGE that payment would be handle the night of the event but miraculously the other family of 4 had already paid. Mind you, we arrive to the area sooner and we're treated horribly. The manager was RUDE, dishonest and almost condescending. Down right wrong for social interactions with his character. We will NEVER interact in any resort driven extracurricular activity at Casa Dorada as long as this manager if affiliated. This is our first stay here at Casa Dorada, as of right now, it's our least favorite from the area and we spend quite a few trips in Cabo throughout the year as a whole. I would hate this experience or better yet, this manager make us think twice before contemplating our next visit.
We ate here the first night we arrived in Cabo. The food was very average and way overpriced. Needless to say, we did not eat at this restaurant again.
The view is wonderful - we sat and watched sunset, boats, and the rays leaping from the bay. The appetizers were prepared in ways new to us and done quite well - the scallops especially were a big hit.We both had steak for the main course - hubby had it wrapped around cheese, I had mine plain. Both of us had mashed potatoes. All of it was heavily salted to the point where we left most of the potatoes - the meat was also too salty but not quite as bad. I also didn't expect the butter for the bread to taste like freezer burn (they must have made the patties ahead and frozen them).Fairly expensive - I expected better.
