Au bord de l'eau - Buzet-sur-Baïse

We love this little place. Cheerful, reasonably priced and surprisingly good for what initially looks like a typical canal quick stop by cafe/bar. A perfect place if you're a burger and chips person (I'm not normally but I do like their burgers all home made with good quality fresh ingredients) and their other dishes are rather good too nice sea food salads/healthy options, fresh fish and good solid regional dishes all generous portions. Local friends say that they do a great fish and chips dish (in ale batter) on a Friday. They have recently expanded and renovated the interior and toilet areas which are now perfectly decent. A lovely spot by the canal on a sunny day in a pretty, covered terrace for a light lunch with decent wine perfect! I will certainly be a regular here and bring my visiting friends along too!

Beautiful location, great food but let down by waitress who was abrupt and unhelpful by just pointing to the blackboard menu. I’d recommend but suggest a review of staff attitude. Perhaps a smile would go a long way.

The cosy, convenient little gite at the port is not only very well placed for walking, cycling and sailing on the Canal de Garonne Lateral and within ‘falling out of bed’ distance of the excellent bar and restaurant next door. There is little or no disturbance for those staying in the gite, in fact the proximity of the busy, friendly port and eatery all add to the pleasure of the visit. The restaurant menu is fresh, varied and delicious. The fish and chips in blond bier batter are absolutely amazing and accompanied by hand cut, home produced chips. The owners and staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. This is excellent place to stop on this canal and within walking distance of Buzet sur Baise.

This is a small cafe at a mooring at Buzet close to the main mooring. The food is good. We had the fish and chips on 2 Fridays (fish and chip night) part of a 'menu. The dessert one night was pain Perdue. Delicious. Some summer evenings there is live music. Cost quite fair.

We visited this restaurant on our family holiday and thoroughly enjoyed the tasty, fresh food. There was live music and great service which created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended!
