The Fighting Cocks Inn - Burnley

Visited The Fighting Cocks with 9 family/friends, from walking through the door when we arrived the friendly greeting from the owner and staff set the atmosphere for the night, you had the feeling that nothing was to much trouble for the staff and that they wanted you to enjoy the experience. We did not feel under any pressure to order food as you do in some establishments. When the order was taken from the extensive menu it was only a short time until the food was served with everyone receiving their food at the same time which was well presented and hot. The food itself was a dining experience in itself with every dish presented being of good quality and full of flavour. Thank you to all staff for an enjoyable experience see you again soon.

Sorry wouldn't recommend staff seemed to be running round like heedless chickens after being told we hadn't booked a table for a party of 18

The food here is exquisite and very affordably priced, and the decor is stunning as well.

The food was excellent, but the service left something to be desired. The main host was friendly and clearly knowledgeable, but his staff didn't quite match his level of professionalism. The drink service was rather slow, and they had run out of several items we wanted to order. We plan to give it another try later in the year to see if the service has improved.

I had a terrible dining experience. The owner, not a chef, prepared the meal, and my order was messed up twice, resulting in me receiving a completely different dish. There were only three tables occupied in the restaurant.
