Restaurant bewertenMy partner and I just finished our meal and we are feeling very satisfied. We were too hungry to cook at home, so we decided to drive to Paramount to check out their menu. We opted to try the moutabbale dip, as our 18-month-old enjoyed it when we tried a sample. We savored it in the car while waiting for our falafel and huh with rice. Surprisingly, our order was ready in just ten minutes and they even brought it out to our car! Usually, we love to cook at home and often feel like we could make dishes taste better after eating out, but not tonight. The falafel was so good that it didn't even need any sauce, and paired perfectly with the side salad. I'm curious to know how they marinated the huh so that it remained tender even after reheating. Overall, everything was delicious and we definitely plan on coming back for more.
Paramount has consistently impressed us with its fantastic food concepts, quality, and creativity. It has been one of my favorite places to enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine since 2009. The Niagara location, which we last visited in 2016, left much to be desired. However, the best location by far is the Mississauga location near Dixie, which I believe is the original and the first. Unfortunately, our recent experience at the Burlington location was a disappointment. We ordered knafeh for dessert and were offered two varieties - Lebanese and Nabulsieh. Both were underwhelming. The Nabulsieh knafeh was particularly disappointing, with a dry and thin pastry, cheese that did not resemble Nabulsi cheese, and an unpleasant chemical taste. I believe Paramount is capable of better, and I urge them to return to the drawing board and innovate.
Iet me start by saying I love the food here. It's always fresh and tasty. The lentil soup is delicious and the chicken shwarma is great. No complaints at all there.HOWEVER. The service is atrocious. I have eaten there probably 6 to 8 times. The service is always way too long, to the point that I sometimes have to get up to get the waitresses attention. Drink orders can take 15 minutes. Appetizers are brought out incomplete and by the time everything arrives, the main meal is there. My order is almost always wrong....i now know to check it as soon as it is dropped off. It's very frustrating because I love the food, but sometimes I just don't have the energy to go and deal with the service. I think because this place does not serve alcohol, they have trouble attracting older, seasoned staff. The staff is all very young.Honestly, your best bet here is to get take out and eat at home.
We went for dinner - 5 people. Ordered the food. Each person's dish came at a different time. By the time, the other dishes came the first person's dish was cold. Paramount Burlington needs to hire more people. You can not sustain a restaurant with such poor service and food quality. And it is by no means an inexpensive restaurant. The server came to apologize saying that the cook was in training. We have been there once before and had the same experience and the same excuse. Would never go there again. For such a renowned restaurant name, there is no sense of ownership or remorse for the quality that they bring out.
Waitress was rude, waited 10min for our drinks, drinking glasses were warm,no ice in the glasses to cool the glass, pop cans room temp,2 napkins for 4 people, ran out of special food orders, food served in stages, asked # of time for our side dishes, food was cold, dry, and bland, got served by different waiter/waitress for food,no staff came to check to ask if everything was ok,had to track down staff to get bill.We will not be returning in the future..
