Restaurant bewertenThe restaurant has a cafe feeling and a nice buzz with a good mix of locals as well as tourists. It is on a main road so not cheap for what you get but still decent. Waiters are rushing around and perhaps not as friendly or as attentive as others encountered in BA.
How do I start... READ TILL THE END! Food is average 5/10 . We ordered Palmitos a typical food from Argentina as a starter and I didn 't like it. The taste was so strong. Presentation of the plate was bad too. They do this meal with some pink sauce Golf Sauce and they used a pre-cooked one. They even give us the tiny basket with more gold sauce, ketchup and mustard. ? Anyway, main plate was fish with onion cream and another one which I don 't remember because we never got it. When we told the waitress we ordered 2 main plates he said his colleague didn 't know. He didn 't apologise or anything and he put the fish in 2 different plates. We were shocked. Then when he finished serving us and after we insisted we ordered 2 main plates he finally said if we would like to order something else. Again, no apologies from him. After being waiting 30 min for food we said no. We shared our fish. It wasn 't cook properly was little bit row so I didn 't finish it. Then, we asked for the bills. Be careful here. Some restaurants in Argentina charge you a for your cutlery which is usually between 20 pesos and 50 pesos. This one did it. But tips were not included. In Argentina some restaurants do. They charge you too for the tip around 100 pesos which is 5£. The waitress was so smart and try to charge us the tip. He said so quickly in Spanish something like do you want to add the tip for the waitress? We are Spanish we understood him but he ran to the counter with our CREDIT CARD!!! Then I realised, how much will he charge? So we called him but he was in the counter already with our card and the bill which we said to him needs a pin but he ignores us and he said to us: don 't think so . Excuse me???? I know my card!!! I know if it got a pin or not !! Anyway, we went to the counter and we said we don 't want to give a tip. He seemed very upset saying why not? We said we don 't want to come on, they forgot one main plate and our food was row plus we didn 't like their customer service . We do not have to give explanations of why we don 't leave tip. But they usually push tourist people to do it. We said NO. Then, our card was declined don 't know what they did but it didn 't work. They copy our card details in a piece of paper and say they must do it. We said: why? The manager was there he said it works like that. MasterCard required your details. Strange. We had to pay in cash and when we left we say goodbye this rude waitress didn 't even say goodbye. PS: our card is a pre pay card from Revolute so we don 't have too much money there in case it got stolen, we basically top up the money we are going to use during the day. so we are not worried but it was little bit weird when they wrote down our card details.
We visited this restaurant on the off chance whilst wandering around looking for an informal place to eat. We were greeted on arrival and offered menus in Spanish or English we chose the latter! As a rule I'm not a fan of pizza but agreed to take a chance and chose the most attractive sounding size large reckoned to be for two but would easily have served three or even four. It was delicious; the best pizza I've ever tasted!
$9. (U.S. w/tip (for one; at these prices I really wasn't hungry , isn't cheap for what appeared to be 1 scrambled egg w/ some Canadian bacon over toast, a small bit of potatoes, a glass of orange juice and coffee. That being said, the service was professional, attentively stiff, and the window-seating spacious and inviting enough to linger.Doubt one could say the same for many a U.S. coffee shop experience.
Very nice place for lunch or dinner. Several different options from steak to pizza, so it needs to be soemthing from your taste. Big plus is the English menu and speaking staff. The food itself is ok and delicious.
