Restaurant bewertenThe meals were quite tasty. I especially enjoyed the gyzoya. The miso soup was just from a super market bought sachet. The teriyaki salmon was nice but the sauce was a bit heavy. Service was ok, although we had to request for our orders to be taken, more water, the bill etc etc.
This small pace, run largely by Koreans, I suspect, has excellent special Japanese dishes and quality sake and beer from Japan. While fully licensed, there is little or no wine and a hefty corkage charge. But go there. It is fun.
First time there last night with friends. The menu was limited however it was full of some favourite dishes from Japan.Sushi, goyza, tempura, rice rolls etc.Note the spring rolls and goyza were freshly made and tasted great. The sesame icecream was unusually good.Overall the food was flavorsome, fresh and presented well however it should be noted this is a casual dining establishment. You need to ask for drinking glasses, water, the table to be cleared once finished eating prior to deserts. Note to the manager - Please upgrade the paper napkins or at least keep additional on the table !The wait staff were very keen to obtain the food orders but couldn't remove finished dishes without being reminded.BYO for wines and Japanese beers for sale at inflated prices.Yes I will go again however I don't rate it above other Japanese style restaurants which have recently opened on the coast.Bamboo House, MooloolabaGingers, Cotton TreeThe restaurant is owned and operated by Korean nationals and not Japanese as is common on the sunny coast.
A small casual restaurant with cracking food. Service a little slow but worth the wait. The best Japanese I've eaten in some time
Went in Saturday night to celebrate a 50th. Booked table for 7.00. Waited till almost 8.00 for order to be taken. Food out by 8.20ish, as always the food was brilliant. Well presented, fresh and tasty. Tried the prawn curry and Hilary bento box. Then it all went wrong! Asked for toilet key only to be told it was lost so cross your legs!! (Thankfully the coffee club came to the rescue), then at five to nine while just finishing food was told that the restaurant was closing at 9.00 and we needed to be leaving. Not good enough!! We have used the restaurant on numerous occasions before and never received anything like this.Customer service desperately needs to be improved. Discussed the issue with staff on the way out but not sue there was any concern. Another venue to drop down the list on the Sunshine Coast.
