Restaurant bewertenDo NOT go here. There is so much competition just walk one or two doors in either direction and you will be well off. After a meal that was below meh and Horrible service, had to literally stand up and ask for bill after waiting 20 mins bc my waitress was on break. My whole family left and I just sat there for another 10 mins waiting to pay. Meanwhile I could see my waitress on her phone compulsively like any teen ager and I wanted to scream like any adult except I am a paying customer and deserved more. All of our food was subpar. I can get a croque madame 10x better than what I had here in any NYC restaurant. Not only was the service bad, but they were lazy and nasty. A bad combo. We have not had that type of experience in many years of traveling in Europe. Just avoid this place. There's so Much better out there.
After wandering around on a weekday in Bruges and finding almost every restaurant closed (due to it being a weekday or to construction in the street), we settled on this place for Belgian waffles. The waffles were not bad! We got the butter and chantilly waffles. Scarfed them down in 5 minutes and nodded that they were good enough despite us wanting to try a Belgian waffle specialty restaurant. Do not go to Bruges on a weekday. Just don't.
After a full day of sightseeing we were very hungry. Near our hotel we stumbled in Humphrey-dumty they were very accomdating. I ordered their Belgium house beer 500 ml and their delicious vegetables soup. My companion had one of the most delicious pasta Bolognese and a soda. The waitress kicra was especially helpful there is going to be a name change next week to Vrugge-link
Stopped in for a quick lunch, because it was in walking distance to everything, and seemed to have wide open seating. I suppose that should've been a red flag. The menu was kind of all over the place with the types of cuisine. I ordered a croque madame, which was absolutely terrible: dry bread, sloppily put together, non-existent bechamel, over-cooked egg. The only thing saving it from a one-star was my buddy's carbonara, which was shockingly excellent. Everyone else in my party was as unimpressed as me.
Nice little place at the end of an ally way. The service was just fine with nothing amazing or rude about it. They simply let us enjoy our food and check to see if we needed more drinks. The two of us shared a croque monsieur and salmon salad. The salmon salad was huge and full of fun extras to the salad that I was expecting. They also brought bread which was a nice way to enjoy the extra helping of salmon on the salad. We had a nice time but I'm not sure we would go back here again next time. So many places to explore!
