Downs River Inc - Brooklyn

Overall, I found this place to be a scam. The prices seem to change daily based on who is working. I usually order medium saltfish and sweet potato, which typically costs $10, but when I asked them to add callaloo, they charged me an extra $9! So, my total came to $19. I usually only come here for breakfast, but I'm considering driving to a different location in the future.

It's no surprise that they named the restaurant "River." The food is really disappointing. I ordered rice and peas, and the sauce tasted like salty water. The oxtail was also incredibly tough to chew. I wouldn't recommend this place.

I had my first meal at this restaurant, and I was pleased with the quality of the food; it was served hot. However, the temperature inside the restaurant was quite warm. On a positive note, they provide a generous portion of food for the price.

This restaurant is fantastic! The food is delicious, and everything you could want for a great dining experience is here.

The macaroni and cheese lacked flavor and only had a hard layer of cheese on top. Additionally, the meat portions were quite small considering the size of the order. Overall, it was very disappointing.
