Restaurant bewertenThe music they play is horrible (punk) and so loud you hardly can have a conversation. They are very friendly when you ask to lower the volume and/or change the music but the result is not much better. It's a pity because the food is to die for and the service is very friendly
Wonderful restaurant. The tasting menu was really fantastic and surprisingly not pretentious. The chefs even incorporated a few dietary restrictions without missing a beat! Truly enjoyable experience.
A delightful experience--Battersby is reliably this. The food is innovative and intriguing, but somehow dependably delicious, which is very difficult to do. The service is top-notch. The ambiance is the best that can be done with limited space, the least notable aspect of the restaurant, but something still works about it. It's almost a communal vibe, but with just enough space to give you a sense of privacy. Overall, well worth* your time and tastebuds. *Note: I just knocked Battersby down a notch. Why? Well, I'd enjoyed my experience so much I made a reservation to take another friend the next evening. A notice popped up saying OpenTable reservations are for tasting menus only. For medical reasons, I can't do that. I called to check with Battersby about that, and was very rudely treated over the phone.
Among the best dining in NYC at this time! We went to Battersby for the 1st time in October enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu. This time we got the 7 course meal. Fabulous!
This place has a mandatory tasting menu. Don 't be fooled by all the people around you who get special treatment and get to order from a separate non-tasting menu and have served to them amazing dishes that you never got to order. The snob meter is way high at this restaurant. When my 70 year old mother told the waitress she didn 't eat certain shellfish the waitress said: well is this an allergy or a dislike? Like that makes a difference!?!? ' Seriously. And clearly it was not a problem to accommodate her since it was a Monday, not that busy, and there are clearly make a myriad of dishes being cooked (see above for people ordering off a different menu). The food was good but restaurant is way too full of itself in an uncool Brooklyn way. I 'd go somewhere else.
