Amazing food, freshly cooked to a very high standard, very good value for money, dog friendly and fabulous service .

Loveliest barmaid who made us and the dog feel very welcome even with our small stomachs when we asked to take our (lovely) food home.

We had a fabulous meal for my daughters 21st on Sunday, as always the food was amazing and the service was fabulous. We had 8 children under 7 and 12 adults and the staff were just brilliant, I cannot recommend The Golden Lion enough. Can't wait to go back. Xx

Excellent lunchtime meal yet again at the Lion, sea bass and a curry. Hosts very polite and helpful. You have got to go a long way to have such good pub grub.Thank you.

I was invited here for a Christmas meal which was very nice. Food was nice and hot and good portions. Staff are very friendly and polite. The pub is dated in its decor but clean and fresh. Has a nice outside area for nicer weather
