Restaurant bewertenService was tops even late in the business day. I risked it and ordered a skirt steak entree, thinking it would be lighter. The problem is that I asked for medium rare, and got a kind of beef jerkey done-ness. It was so tough that the meat was wasted. I would have asked for a new serving except that it was getting near closing and I was with a group of friends who already had their food. The Borracho beans were the highlight. Food was bland and really salty. One of the waitress didn't realize or forgot we ordered extra food as she brought our check after our appetizer.
The restaurant is small, but is definitely in the top 3 best Mexican food places I've ever eaten. Each bite took my taste buds to the nexus. A truly devine experience.
This was our first time dining at this establishment. Our server was the owners nephew and he was great. They don't do the normal chips and salsa on the table. They bring you a little bean and cheese burrito with a nice little dish of spices salsa. We ordered the chicken fajitas for 2 and they were great. The flavors were so delicious and the caramelizing on the onions and peppers was perfect. Our friend had the chile relleno and said it good too. We will definitely be coming back for more.
I’ve been coming here for years. I never thought I would give them any less than four stars but this evening the food was so far below normal it might be awhile before I venture back. The Chile relleno wasn’t cooked all the way, the chicken in the tamale and enchilada was so dry I had to pick it out. I’m so sorry but I loved this place and I still want to love it.
