The Beach House - Brisbane

Ended our time in Brisbane having a great meal, outside overlooking the streets with a singer providing the entertainment. Busy place, great value for money both for food and wine!. It was just what we needed.

Great cold beer. Food too much to eat. Pleasant atmosphere to sit and relax. Good music. Staff pleasant and helpful

I have walked past this place for years and today I decided to walk in and give them a go. I ordered salmon with vegetables, including chat potatoes. I was given a table number and told where I could get my cutlery.I found a table, which was dirty but so were the others around this one. As I sat down the waitress cleaned and wiped the table.My meal came out fairly quickly. The salmon was lovely! I really enjoyed it. The vegetables would have been great if they all weren't smothered in butter. The carrots, broccoli, potatoes and corn were all cooked in butter making it all too rich for me. I couldn't eat all the vegetables and normally I would have.The coffee was really good! I'd go back for the coffee. If I go back to eat I'd ask for the chef to hold back on the butter and oil. The staff were friendly enough.This is a place to eat with friends for something casual. It's not a special occasion place.

My husband wasn't impressed that his Corona was not ice cold as it should have been and very little choice of beer on offer.

Reasonable meals at reasonable prices. Better for a gathering than a date night option. Handy to the CBD and venues.
