Restaurant bewertenConveniently located in Southbank (for those of us on foot in the city and good for people watching). The staff were fairly friendly, and there was nice outdoor seating (nothing fancy at all, plain tables). For $38 AUD, we got 2 burgers, fries (extra cost), and split one beer. They provide a free container of cold tap water (tastes fine and is safe in Australia) that you can take to your table. The burgers were huge and very delicious, which they should be at about $14 AUD each. However, the burgers are loaded with extra and are similarly priced to an upscale burger in the US. The burgers don't include fries but those we bought and shared were very tasty. Yes, food is a little more expensive in Australia, but I don't mind much if it is in a good location and still tastes good (as opposed to tiny and tasteless like Ole Restaurant nearby...which we had abandoned to come here). If you want an awesome burger, this was great.
Fantastic burger at reasonable priced. I'm in love with the Frenchie! The chips are more like wedges and I can't say they are my favourite but the burgers are big enough that I don't bother getting any.
Quite expensive for what it is we checked their online menu which showed burgers with prices ranging from $9.00 $11.50. However when we arrived and checked their in store menus, the burgers (same names and ingredients etc) were $14+, which was disappointing. Also, they did not have the option of gluten free buns for their burgers, again disappointing. The burgers are fairly tasty, however they are far from anything special, and the sides came out cold. We were the only customers there, so it should have been better.
Had lunch here with some overseas visitors following a trip into the Southbank. Burgers are ground rump steak and tasted pretty good with a nice choice. Pretty good value for real burgers compared to the mass produced offerings and even some of the local competition. Not keen on the potato wedges though more attention needed to potato selection and quality. Licensed with some interesting beers. A good lunch stop if not too busy.
Got the City Cat and got off to have a look round the City Beach . We were staving and asked at trourist information for a nice burger place not a Mac D 's (no offence too many kids usually). He directed us to Beasties and the portion were huge and the burgers were very tasty. If you are hungery go to this place and you wont be disappointed at both the portions but also the flavours and its not that expensive
