Restaurant bewertenI like this place a lot, the terrace in the separate courtyard of the streets of the city gives the impression of being in a family environment, as well as all the interior is very warm and comfortable thanks to the choice of decoration and layout. The cuisine is creative, free and especially tasty. I didn't miss anything in the room, the bed was comfortable, the clean bathroom. and I must not forget the pleasant welcome of all the staff. I'll be back soon.
Orfenor is an exceptional place in the heart of the brioude. from the corner of the street, the eye is drawn to the porch: its large open doors inviting to enter for so all the corners of this large house to the decoration of the brick and the broc that invites to relaxation. I visited all the rooms and even the dorm. all are irreproachable of cleanliness, boxes, personalized and bedding is of superior quality. the bathrooms are as charming as nickel. I spent a night with my husband in the very bohemian and chic imperial room, the dream. and one night at the dorm, only 6 beds, each with its space. Perfect. all meals have been delicious and inventive. To finish, the whole team without exception is a little care and smile. A magical place.
Cosy, charming , eccenteic, Orfenor is hidden oasis of great food beautiful ramshakle furniture and great atmosphere. We stayed a few nights in the hostel and the rooms where comfortable and very well decorated, we wanted to explore the surrounding area (very beautiful) but ended up eating at the restaurant most nights. The hostel is run by two young couples who bring some much energy and life to chanting little town of Brioude. Amazing menu, changing daily, the food is fresh, delicous and home cooked and an they have an incredible (and good value) wine list! The place was full every night of locals, family's, couples and friends. Staying at Orfener felt like staying at your best friends place with all the comforts of home. Worth a trip to the Auvergne just to try their great food and wine.
We recently were in the village of Brioude and found this diamond of a restaurant and bar. The owners were so bright and gracious, fluent in French and English and wonderfully welcoming. The menu provided selections which paired well with wine or beer. We visited numerous times for the unique atmosphere and cleverly decorated space. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area!!
This inn, managed by two French sisters and their American and Australian husbands, has it all: uniquely decorated rooms in different styles (turn of the (previous) century, 1960s), a boutique with vintage clothing and decorative objects, a restaurant (Wednesdays are Japanese themed with gyozas and sushi) and a carefully chosen selection of natural wines. The two sisters are charming and attentive and will make sure you’re comfortable, even when the temperatures suddenly drop and the space heaters disappoint.
