Restaurant bewertenThis café is quite run-down and the restroom facilities are unhygienic. It makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the food preparation area if the same facilities are being used by the staff. Speaker's Corner, located just a few doors down, is a far superior café option.
Food was average at best... and that 's the nicest thing I could say about the place. Staff were rude, unorganised and waited about 40 mins for a breakfast. Got brought the wrong breakgast, and then confronted and challenged by a rude waitress at the end. The place is dirty and table was sticky. Worse 'restaurant ' I 've ever been in. First and last time
I'm hooked on their coffee but alas there's no loyalty cards Doh! Support your Independent, I say. It's hardly lavish with it's furnishings but if that's what you're looking for then you'd best find a furniture shop. Figaro's is unique in it's own special way. I can certainly recommend the coffee and the omellets and the pasta arabiatta. Think twice about using the loo. Wish I could understand Italian. Ciao
During a week-long coach holiday, we stumbled upon a charming cafe located on George Street in Kemptown, Brighton. This hidden gem offered a diverse menu at affordable prices. While my husband played it safe with a cheese and tomato sandwich, I couldn't resist trying the brie, bacon, and cranberry sauce option. Both sandwiches were generously stuffed and made with fresh ingredients. We enjoyed coffee and water with our meal and would gladly return to this cafe in the future. The friendly service, excellent food quality, and reasonable prices were all highlights of our experience. The easily accessible ground floor restroom was a plus for me, as I have mobility issues. We highly recommend this cafe to all visitors.
I had originally planned to go to a different restaurant nearby, but it was closed so I ended up having lunch here. My wife ordered the vegetarian breakfast and I enjoyed a basic coffee latte. The latte was excellent. Overall, the food was good, though I thought the mushrooms could use more flavor. I had the Chicken Milanese, which came with spaghetti and chips. I would have preferred some vegetables or a salad instead of two carb options. Everything was cooked well, and the spaghetti had a fresh tomato and garlic sauce that was delicious. I would definitely come back to eat here again. It seemed popular among Italian diners. The bathroom had an authentic Italian feel, with old fixtures and fittings, but it was clean and functional.
