Had driven past this restaurant and had always wanted to check it out. Was in the area today after enjoying a couple beers down the street at Thimble Island and decided to stop in to eat. Sat inside and enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant itself; the staff was friendly, welcoming and hospitable. The food was delicious and filling; with having the meatloaf myself, which also came with an unexpected side salad, and the steak tips for her which I tried as well. The size of the piece of meatloaf was nearly half the plate! We enjoyed our visit, and would definitely return here again if we happened to be in the area.
Hubby had meatloaf dinner. Huge piece of meatloaf with mashed potatoes and gravy and broccoli. Tasted delicious. I had a cup of Rhode island clam chowder and the tomato and mozzarella salad. Chowder was one of the best I've ever had. Lots of clams and tasty broth. Salad was very fresh and balsamic vinaigrette was sweet and perfectly complimented the salad. Big bonus points for having the hot food and soup delivered to our table piping hot! Reasonable prices, good service.
Tommy Sullivans in Branford, CT. Great food, bar. Fun place to go. The best pork chops ever! Cooked to perfection. This visit we had delicious cheeseburgers, cole slaw and sweet potato fries. Sat by the fire and enjoyed the warmth! They also have a great deck for nice weather. Will be going back!
A beloved local spot and an ideal place for a Saturday outing! The corned beef is outstanding and available year-round, which is a must for any bar that boasts Irish heritage. I enjoy sitting at the bar, where I can always expect excellent service from the bartender. I can't wait for my next visit!
