Florence's Brooklyn Pizzeria

The food at this restaurant was delicious, but I was disappointed to find that there was only one employee working. Even though I live just 2 minutes away, the phone was off the hook so I had to drive to the restaurant expecting a busy night. However, it was almost empty. I believe the owner and management should take responsibility for not having enough staff on hand. I would consider returning if they hire more employees and possibly offer better pay.

This pizza was terrible! Adding cheese to an already overcooked slice of pizza and then sprinkling a bunch of Italian spices on top is one of the worst things you can do to a slice of New York pizza. If you're going to sell pizza by the slice, at least have the foresight to undercook the pie so that when you reheat the slices in the oven, it only takes 30 seconds for a perfect slice to come out. Unfortunately, my slice was disgusting and definitely not worth the $3.16 they charged me for it.

I am currently making bagel bites while writing this review because the cheese pizza I ordered was terrible. It was burnt and falling apart, I cannot believe they would serve such a low-quality product. I recommend staying away from this place. The other New York style pizza was also falling apart, the crust had no structure whatsoever. It felt like I was eating a pizza drenched in soup. I noticed that the ownership of the restaurant recently changed, and since then there have been multiple 1-star reviews, whereas before the change the reviews were glowing. I will not be returning, as it is clear that the new owners do not know how to make good pizza.

Having been residents of Bradenton for quite some time, we decided to venture out and try a new pizza restaurant. To our pleasant surprise, the pizza was absolutely amazing and the staff were incredibly friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience and found everything to be just perfect. We definitely plan on returning and commend the level of customer service and interaction that is often lacking in today's world.

In terms of kid-friendliness, they have high chairs and kids' portions available. The staff even let my boys choose their favorite movie on Netflix and gave them the remote. They had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place!
