Island Breeze Restaurant and Take Out Grill

My wife and I stopped by so she could get Newfoundland's Poutine, "The Mess". Properly made, this is French Fries topped with dressing, hamburger meat, weiners, and gravy. She said it was excellent. I had a hot beef sandwich which was good. They were also offering a Sunday Dinner (Jiggs) which looked excellent but we passed on as we were having Jiggs that evening.Good Newfoundland comfort food.

Great food, reasonable prices, and that "at home" ambience......what's not to love? On my most recent visit, one of our party couldn't attend, so our server rearranged the tables, making the atmosphere a little more cozy!

Our softball team showed up at the restaurant and was treated to generous portions and fast service. Paying bill was slow as only one cash register - suggest a wireless credit card machine.
