Restaurant bewertenThe Miso toh Komes at Jay and at Stowe were great as of spring 2022!! This review does not reflect the quality of the other locations. The Miso toh Kome at Bolton, however, left my husband and I sorely disappointed. Usually, the pork Onigiri comes with a large slice of pork belly covered in delicious sauce, but this wasn't the case at Bolton. What we received was a scant portion of chopped pork that was nothing like what we have come to expect. The rice was also very disappointing. From the other locations we usually receive sticky rice which is moist and holds together nicely, but the rice at the Bolton location was loose and dry, causing the rice ball to crumble and fall apart as you eat it. The vegetarian option usually comes with kombu and large slices of marinated shiitake mushrooms, but the version I received at Bolton only had tiny pieces of mushrooms, so it was essentially just a ball of rice for $8. I usually love this place, but something about this location is not right! I think the owner needs to consider retraining staff at this location so they can uphold the standard that is to be expected from Miso toh Kome.
This food cart was super good! Its harder to find Onigiri where I live and it was awesome to see this. The rice balls are served hot and they have vegetarian as well as non vegetarian flavors. The rice balls were pretty big and filling which was nice. People were very friendly. They also had a few sides like edamame and I believe they have ramen at other locations. I think this place is usually at ski mountains. Sugar bush, Spruce peak, and Bolton valley to name a few. Would recommend!
Omg!!! We loved their ramen at jay peak 8 years ago. I can't believe they expanded to rice balls to other ski resorts. The rice balls are delicious and huge. It will definitely satisfy a snowboarder appetite and continue riding soon after. Miso soup in a coffee cup is smart ...it's more than just soup, more like a broth. The dragon eel, pork belly chasu, mushroom seaweed is all good. Spicy tuna is canned tuna was to spicy for me; maybe a sweet mayo like Korean tuna salad might be better. Go eat the! Now I'm excited to return to vt ski resort who has them
I highly recommend. Get a rice ball of your choice and a cup of miso soup.
The best resort food in America hands down. An absolute game changer. Exactly what you need for a quick warm energy boost on a cold day of riding. Also they have hot canned coffee! I really hope Sugarbush and Bolton keep these guys around for the long haul
