Restaurant bewertenWe love Peggy's and are never disappointed in the meals we are served and which we enjoy there! It's a great location in a great town! We often choose to dine here to celebrate special occasions! We leave full and satisfied! Delicious food and delightful adult beverages-what else could you want?
I got the Caesar salad with chicken and hubs got the mushroom swiss burger which he gets everytime. Both were delicious. Laura was our server and we have been served by her many times. She has become our favorite. She's sweet, attentive, and has perfect timing with attending to us.
Prompt service and nice menu options for brunch. Expected soft shell crab Benedict notes on website menu, disappointed with crab cake Benedict. Crab cakes were all crab with little other filling which is nice for regular entree but overwhelmed the Benedict. Biscuits were fabulous as was the shrimp and grits. The chicken and waffles were tasty but soggy, was expecting more crunch. Overall a nice experience though and we will return.
We typically really enjoy Pegg's on the Green's brunch on Sundays so we decided what a great experience opportunity to show off Boerne to some out of town friends this past holiday weekend. Unfortunately we were sorely disappointed. Although the ambiance (casual up scale) and service was exquisite, the food was very disappointing. Scrambled eggs were barely two and were way over cooked, potatoes although tasty were scarce and sausage patties so over done they were dry and crunchy. We understand the desire to decrease portions so as to not have to significantly increase prices with current inflation, however one would think we would be ultra focused on the quality. Chef Mark should be embarrassed by the quality of food coming out of his kitchen this past Sunday. We are hoping it was a “one off” maybe the cooks had not gotten into their “groove” that morning so we'll be back but unfortunately our friends were not impressed at all should they ever return to Boerne, it will be a real tough sell to get them to revisit Peggy's on the Green...
Roberta was our waitress, super nice, food ok, but we ordered pork chops with apple compote, they bring the pork super dry with a few apple slices. I asked about the sauce and they told us they didn't have it. Saying that, if I don't ask they charge us almost 40 dolars for a dish that was not completr, but as I did, they didn't. Check what you order and what you get.
